Preview - Celtic v Swallows

Moroka Swallows believe they can become the third team this season to thump Celtic in front of their boisterous home support when the two teams clash in a Castle Premiership match at the Seisa Ramobodu Stadium on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3.15pm).

Only Tshwane-based side SuperSport United and champions-elect Mamelodi Sundowns have managed to beat the stubborn Bloemfontein Celtic outfit at home.

Underpinned by their impressive victory over relegation candidates AmaZulu whom they saw off 1-0 at home, 'Masokolara' evergreen skipper John Maduka said Swallows impressive run will come to an abrupt end on Saturday.

Swallows are third on the Premier League log on 40 points after 25 matches, two ahead of Celtic, who have played a game less.

"Swallows are a balanced side with quality players but we want to qualify for the top eight after missing out this season. We are doing well at home and I don't see them following in the footsteps of United and Sundowns who have been able to beat us at home," said Maduka.

He added: "Moses (Spandeel) is back from a long term injury and I am hopeful his presence will be felt. It is Easter time and it could be nice to give our fans a present by beating Swallows."

'Birds' skipper Lefa Tsutsulupa vowed to be the third team to scalp Celtic in front of their passionate fans.
"We want to finish second and we cannot allow Celtic to tamper with our winning formula. We showed maturity and 100% effort by coming back from a goal down and Chiefs were lucky to walk away with a point. We are ready and I don't fear Celtic," he said.
