As loyal supporters of Moroka Swallows FC, we are deeply concerned by the recent turmoil engulfing our beloved club.
Last month, Swallows suspended over 20 senior squad players due to unpaid salaries – draining what was already a threadbare squad. Making matters worse, coach Steve Komphela has now revealed a complete communication breakdown with club management.
“The team manager communicates with players without updating me. I know nothing about decisions taken since December,” a candid Komphela told media.
As diehard Swallows fans, we are appalled by this lack of leadership during such a critical period. The club’s failure to honor two recent PSL fixtures led to walkovers that push relegation even closer to reality.
While we have supported this club through many ups and downs, it is unacceptable that we enter such a decisive phase of the season in seeming administrative disarray.
As concerned supporters, we demand that club management break their silence and engage constructively with all stakeholders. Urgent action is required to salvage the season and chart a course back to stability.
We reiterate that Moroka Swallows FC means the world to us loyal fans who have held up the blue and white banners for generations. We cannot idlely watch our club sink due to off-field negligence from its own custodians.
The club’s leadership owes it to supporters, players and staff to intervene decisively. The heritage of Moroka Swallows FC must not become yet another sad tale of mismanagement.
